Type A FIBC are made of plain-woven polypropylene and other non-conductive fabrics. Static electricity is generated as products move over or rub against the inside surface of the bulk bag when they are filled/emptied. There is no static protection provided by Type A FIBC.
Type A bulk bags can be used to safely transport non-flammable products. There should not be any flammable solvents or gases present around a Type A FIBC.
Plain Bag - No Static Protection
Type A FIBCs are the most common standard bulk bags found in the industry. They are made from standard polypropylene fabric which is naturally non-conductive. This means they are purely mechanical containers designed to hold weight, with no special properties to handle static electricity.
Static is generated whenever product flows in or out of a bag. Since Type A bags have no static protection, this charge can build up. Therefore, these bags are strictly for 'inert' environments. They are safe, strong, and reliable, provided they are used correctly (i.e., not for flammable materials).
They represent the baseline of the FIBC world. If you are moving sand, gravel, or feed in a normal warehouse, a Type A bag is your most cost-effective solution.
General construction for sand and stone.
Animal feed and agriculture for grain transport.
Waste management for non-hazardous trash.
